December Birthdays, Whine and Comment
If you're like me and have a birthday in December (mine is 12/31) then you know that we are shortchanged in the birthday present department. I don't remember ever getting a present that wasn't wrapped in Christmas gift wrap (if wrapped at all). Usually I got a "combined" birthday and Christmas present. My sister's birthday is only 2 weeks after mine (in January) but she NEVER got combined presents, or presents wrapped in Santa paper! Why do families think that being born in December automatically excludes you from a real birthday present. And let's not even talk about birthday parties! You might think that since mine is on New Years Eve, that I would be a partying fool. No, everyone goes to celebrate New Years, not my birthday! Okay, I'm done whining. Feel free to comment and whine all you want if you're an ignored December birthday person!

Oh dear, I am born on 15th September. In my country Bulgaria, it's first day of school year. I always received present like a tracksuit or jeans combined for school year and bday. And also all friends celebrated not my bday.
Know what you mean, my birthday is Dec 18th and then for some dumb reason my hubby and I got married on Dec. 21st. Guess it was not totally dumb as we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary this month, so maybe there was a blessing in it somewhere. :)
LOL My youngest daughter's birthday is 12/31. No combined presents, but....we always made her wait for her party because her friends parents didn't have money to get a birthday gift when Christmas presents were needed for under their tree. One year she insisted that it be on her birthday. It was a lesson well learned. From then on, she said Mom you pick a date for my birthday party.
This was also the subject on Dr. Phil the other day because Robin McGraw's birthday in 12/28.
I wish you the happiest birthday ever!
My mom's b-day is in December... but it was a house rule that there would be no combo-ing. :)
Oh no! You poor thing! I know so many people who are born in Dec who don't like their birthdays because of this. Sob! Its not fair at all. Complain away! :)
your magnets are adorable!
Very funny antidote. I never thought about the poor souls that have birthdays in Dec., you gave me a chuckle with a new viewpoint! Lovely creations!
That's bad! I know a girl who's birthday is on 26th Dec. Poor! I wish you a Happy Birthday and a Wonderful New Year!
Today's the day! I received many surprise birthday convos this morning, and not one of them was wrapped in Santa paper!!
Thanks to everyone who commented and Happy Birthday to all babies born on this day, and any day in December!!
